ServiceMaster has been providing office cleaning services and carpet and upholstery cleaning to businesses in Saint John since 1971. In 2008, Chris Long became the proud owner of ServiceMaster Clean of Saint John.

The company employs more than 30 employees.  With state of the art commercial cleaning equipment, proprietary products and the on-going training of our technicians, ServiceMaster Clean of Saint John is ready to deal with any commercial cleaning need.

Our reputation for quality and reliable service, earned through years of experience and training, has enabled our technicians to be on top of the most current processes and technology.

After graduating from UNB Fredericton with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing and Industrial Relations, Chris spent 16 years in Sales and Marketing for Labatt Brewery of Canada.  While at Labatt, Chris held multiple positions and played various roles in Regional Sales & Marketing through a number of job promotions.  For his last 4 years at Labatt, Chris held the position of Regional Sales Manager for NB & PEI.

 In 2008, Chris purchased ServiceMaster Clean and ServiceMaster Restore in Saint John.  He has since doubled the number of employees as well as the business.  Chris is heavily reinvesting in Training, Recruiting, Technology and Equipment.

Chris is well known in his community for “giving back”.  He implemented the Labatt Charity Foundation, which raised over 5 million dollars for over 31 charities in NB. Chris was a Board Member for the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation as well he served as a Director on the Dennis Knibb Scholarship Foundation.  He is an active member of the YMCA Capital Campaign and a Director in DRAR. He sat on the Board for the Saint John Jazz & Blues and the Alexander Keith Board of Directors.  One of his biggest accomplishments was being awarded the ‘Young Leader to Watch’ Award in 2002 from the YMCA.

 Chris still finds time to enjoy his family – wife Deanne, son Jack and daughters Isabel and Regan.

Judy is responsible for general office duties as well as handling all the scheduling of commercial, residential and post-construction cleaning and content.

Judy assists in developing advertising in the local media and is always looking for ways for the company to be involved and support community events. She was involved in organizing the company involvement as Bronze Sponsor to the 2014 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship. ServiceMaster Canada is now a sponsor of the Canadian Ladies Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Judy came to us from the credit/accounts receivable area at Irving Oil. Prior to that, she was Assistant Production Manager at the Telegraph Journal.

I hope all is well, I just wanted to send you a letter of thanks. I have been impressed with your team from the very first call in placed on June19th. The person that answered the phone was very helpful and understanding. She quickly realized the urgency of our request and responded accordingly. The first crew showed with in a couple of hours to start the emergency clean up. The packers and movers had things taken care of in flash. We were able to provide them with pallets and the forklift to assist them in moving the boxes from the front of the building to the container in our back lot. We were very thankful and appreciative. Sean was on-site right away and explained everything that was going to take place. His friendly demeanor and knowledge were unsurpassed. He was able to provide me with more information about the insurance process than the insurance people did. The crew that you had in for the tear out were a super bunch of guys. They were friendly and professional while having fun working with each other. The camaraderie among them was a pleasure to watch. The restore folks were great as well. Danny was pleasant and professional, he really knows his stuff. The guys that did the drywall and molding fit in like they were a part of our team, always with a comment about something funny.

As you know we had some other work being done at the same time your group was here. The difference between the two groups were day and night. Your group was outstanding.

We are more than pleased with the quality and workmanship of your work. I am so very happy that we chose ServiceMaster Restore to help is in our time of need.

Let me start by saying my wife and I are fully satisfied with the work completed by your team at my home. Customer satisfaction must be a key company measurement for a firm that supplies services. I would rate the service we received a 9.5 out of 10 on the work done at my home. Both myself and my wife are pleased with the end result and how we got there. (9.5 is about as high as I give as there is always room for improvement).

People make the difference. Maurice and Pat were the coordinators and did a good job at ensuring that our needs were met and we were satisfied.

First on the job was Anita and the movers. They quickly assessed the situation and began to remove everything out of the basement. They were very efficient, organized and customer aware.

Matt Palmer was assigned to remove the old sink and cupboards (which had been there since the 50's but soiled) and installed the new sink, not as easy a task as it might sound. Matt did a good job.

Jeff Langille was then assigned to replace the gyp-rock, do the crack filling, the painting and any other general repairs required to see a completed job. I found Jeff to be very efficient, effective, customer focused and pleasant to deal with. He also has a very good understanding of the overall job. When I asked for a change he would direct me to Maurice for approval. He never said no but did make me aware that Maurice understood the overall budget and would have to be consulted. Jeff did exceptional work.

Matt and Jeff were extremely professional in their work. This was most noted in the cleanliness of my basement when they finished the day. My wife was impressed each time she went down stairs at how and clean things were.

Everything in it's place and all swept clean. This shows a high degree of pride of workmanship and made me feel I had quality workmen on the job.
